Le 2 septembre 2025, Perpignan a accueilli la cérémonie officielle marquant le 80e anniversaire de la fin de la guerre dans le Pacifique et de la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Aux côtés des autorités civiles et militaires, la ministre chargée de la Mémoire et des Anciens Combattants, Patricia Mirallès, a rendu hommage aux combattants et aux victimes. Dépôts de gerbes, instants de recueillement et prises de parole ont rythmé cette journée de mémoire et de transmission, entre hommage aux anciens et transmission de l’histoire aux générations présentes.
80th anniversary of the end of the war in the Pacific
On September 2, 2025, Perpignan hosted the official ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of the end of the war in the Pacific and of the Second World War. Alongside civil and military authorities, the French Minister in charge of Remembrance and Veterans Affairs, Patricia Mirallès, paid tribute to the fighters and the victims. Wreath-laying, moments of remembrance, and speeches punctuated this day of memory and transmission, honoring the veterans while passing on history to the present generations.
